About Ian Scott Professionally

I hold a PhD in physics, gained at the University of York, UK. My research involved using Medium Energy Ion Scattering (MEIS) and Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM) in "Studies of Thin Metal Silicides on Silicon (111)" (you can find my thesis here). More information can be found on the Surface Physics Group website and my work pages. Incidently, I helped to design and construct that group web site. I have a keen interest in web design, especially in standards compliant cross browser and platform ways, and emerging web technology.
