General Catch Up

Just a quick I’m still here. Looking back at the post with upcoming things some have happened and some are on the horizon. Meeting up with Ed didn’t quite go as well as planned—hopefully we’ll have better luck next time. Firefox 4 is out and awesome. York has been visited. Soon will be Gary’s wedding, with another stop off in York, this time to see Dylan Moran. Still got to get to a couple of exhibits and Camden Markets though! Also heading up north for easter…

And because Ed keeps saying I’m slacking (well, I haven’t uploaded in over a week) a slew of Project 365 pics:

Project 365: A Week’s Catchup

Finally caught up with the last week’s photos!

Click, Crack Oops

Anyone following along with Project 365 will know there was a slight accident. I cracked the screen of my trusty Canon A590IS (note to self: Don’t use coat as a pillow on a train when the camera is in the pocket). The camera still takes photos actually, but I’m basically restricted to auto as I can’t change any settings! So, time for a new camera…

After barely any research at all I ended up with the Canon SX130 IS (budget doesn’t run to DSLR yet, and it would be a bit bulky to constantly carry around anyway). Quite happy with it over the few days I’ve had it—couple of first impressions: It’s bulkier, probably on the limit of size which can be carried around so much; no viewfinder (which I didn’t realise until I got hold of it)! Seems strange to have to look at the screen to take a shot. At least the flip up flash means its not constantly trying to fire!

Anyway, that’s what’s taking the majority of the photos now!
